NEWTodi is a medieval town located in Umbria, central Italy (www.todi.net, www.comune.todi.pg.it). Todi is about 120 km from Rome and 40 km from Perugia (see MAP ). The closest airports are: · Perugia S. Egidio airport (km 50). www.airport.umbria.it · Florence Amerigo Vespucci airport - Peretola FI (km190). www.aeroporto.firenze.it/EN/index.php From airports or towns to TodiYou can reach Todi from the airoports in a number of ways: By bus There are direct bus connections from Rome airport Leonardo da Vinci (Fiumicino), and Perugia airport (S. Egidio) to Todi. The timetable is available at http://www.sulga.it/autolinee/orari.asp Please note that: - in order to find out the timetable from Rome Fiumicino, you must select "Fiumicino" in the menu in the web page; on the other hand, if you select "Rome" you get the timetable of the bus from the Tiburtina railway station; - the buses from Rome Fiumicino also stop at Rome Tiburtina station on their way to Todi (about 90 minutes). A quicker option is to take a train from Rome Fiumicino to Rome Tiburtina (every 15 minutes) or Rome Termini (every 30 minutes) and then the bus or a train to Todi (see below); - there are also buses which leave from the Tiburtina station (see the timetable on the web).
By train The Italian railway agency, Trenitalia has updated its website http://www.trenitalia.it/ with the July timetable. Trains from Rome Termini station to Todi leave at: 07:00, 09:36, 11:38, 12:14, 12:30, 15:40, 16:14 and 17:38 on Tuesday 3rd and Wednesday 4th; most of trains also stop at Rome Tiburtina station a few minutes later: 09:43, 11:46, 12:21, 12:38, 15:47, 16:21, 17:45. From this station (Tiburtina) there are another couple of trains in the early morning (06:07, 06:39). Travel time is about 2hrs (it depends on the train), and 2nd class costs roughly €20. There are also bus connections from Rome Tiburtina Station (about 1:45 hours). The timetable is available at http://www.sulga.it/autolinee/orari.asp. Trains from Perugia station to Todi leave at: 06:03, 07:23, 08:13, 11:18, 13:42, 18:03, 18:21, 19:41. Please verify any arrangements you plan on trenitalia's website.  In addition, there are trains from the Ferrovia Centrale Umbra. The timetable is available at http://www.fcu.it There is also a bus service from Perugia to Todi. Time schedule is every 30 minutes until 9.00 pm.
